I am a retired photographer and make pictures of the city of Amsterdam.
About me:
I followed my education at the Nederlandse Fotovakschool (the Dutch Photography School)and acquired the title of professional photographer. Amsterdam has been the subject of my photographs in my professional life. Still there was this idea in my head to try something different. After a lot of thought and experimenting I think I've found the right form.

"Martin makes wonderful pictures of Amsterdam. He makes pictures in a classic way of the canals and the beautiful 17 century houses. But he also makes unconventional photos of the 'red light district'. It's the place for 'paid love'. He gives the viewer a beautiful insight of this world. The pictures Martin makes of the women who are working in whorehouses, peep-shows and other erotic entertainment are made with due respect. He gives us a view of this world without being intrusive. I think Martin deserves al lot of recognition for his unique style and look at this special world in the center of Amsterdam. I hope he continues to make this exceptional photographs.
