My name is Brent Hoard and I live in the Richmond, Virginia area, where I've worked for Randolph-Macon College as their Webmaster since 2003. My undergraduate degree is in Technical Communication from the Mercer University School of Engineering, where I graduated in 2003.

In the fall of 2009, I entered the Masters of Instructional Technology curriculum at East Carolina University, and have immersed myself in the study of my life's passion: education. This academic path has been very rewarding thus far, and I look forward to the lessons and tasks that are to come.

I'm an amateur photographer, and my camera is often with me as I travel about. As you can tell, I have a particular interest in macro photography, where I feel the true beauty (fine detail) of an object can be found and studied.

I'm also a serious baseball fan, though my long time Orioles preference has made me the punchline to scores of jokes within my circle of friends.
