Throughout history and in cities around the world, people have relied on meals that were prepared and enjoyed on the street. Before the rise of the industrial food system, street food thrived in a time when people raised their own food and cooked their own meals to feed their family and neighbors. Besides being hand-made with the freshest ingredients, these meals were affordable, convenient, and delicious. But most importantly, they were made by people with whom they shared a sense of friendship and community. MIHO Gastrotruck aims to recreate that time and place in San Diego by hand-crafting gourmet street food with responsibly-sourced ingredients of the highest quality. Our dream is to not only make local, seasonal, and sustainably-raised food more affordable and convenient, but also an essential part of everyday American life.
