Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years.

Personally, I view photography as part measure creativity, but also indicates (at least to me) how an individual views the world and his/ her surroundings. I'm fascinated by observation and what people chose to photograph and how they tell their own personal truth/ stories through the photographs that they take and how they chose to frame the composition by including or excluding specific elements.

I'm inspired and in awe of all of the wonderful different styles and perspectives that the Flickr community presents. It challenges my notions of framing, composition, abstract, colours, presentation, etc and makes me constantly strive for more creative photographic experimentation.

...like a chimp with coconuts says:

"The boy's got skills and is a delight to have as a contact! An encounter with Yawp - whether on a photo or in a group is more than likely to bring a smile or a hoot.

He manages to add a woomph with techniques that I can only marvel at. You know, don't take my word for it, take a stroll through his stream and enjoy the varied and creative delights. Way to go Yawp!"

Alex Vinter (aka Wam Mosely) says:

"I just did the tour through Yawp's stream (as it were) and I really enjoyed the ride!

Full of interesting and well taken photos all the way.

He's also a gret contact to have, full of knowledge and he's more than willing to share all of it.

So go enjoy his photos! You won't regret it!! (:"

    Mr. Mark says:

"Swimming through Gary's photostream is an adventure in itself because of the wealth of surprises it holds. There are many gems to be found here and, doubtless, many more to come.

As anyone who shares a flickr group with him knows, Gary's knowledge of composition and what makes a photograph 'work' is in abundance, as his thoughtful comments/suggestions always demonstrate. He's got an eye for both the everyday, and for things just a bit off centre. If I were you, I'd keep an eye on him too!"
