Generic Brand Productions' photostream

I'm here to give everyone a little of this, and a little of that when it comes to content here. Hence, I'm not looking to be a one trick pony.

Also, don't let the name mislead you... while the brand is generic, the productions are not intended to be (If I can help it).

Though I'm just merely one average everyday blue jeans and sneakers wearing "generic" guy with one lone commercially available digital cam, I will try to make the most of of what I have to work with.

I work under GIMP (A VERY nice alternative to the overpriced Adobe Photoshop) which can be found here...

GIMP, like Photoshop, and other such programs, does a nice job of "auto adjusting" digital pics that look a little off for the color or brightness or whatnot often due to lighting conditions at the time the pic was taken.

I'm a VERY strong proponent of running open source software over commercially available stuff, since I likes supporting such things as "generic brands" at the supermarkets IRL, and smaller, privately owned places a little from time to time... and just basically like supporting anything "indy" produced

I also do some "image mods" (Strictly for fun and laughs at times).

It's a bit basic in nature, but gets the jobby job done... plus, it supports plug-ins to help expand it's capabilities. (But truth be told, I likes it mainly because it's not a Micro$oft made product.. lol).

To mention a bit about me, I like art (digital and tradition hand drawn art), cartoons, Pro Wrestling, Special FX, video and PC games, technology, PC tower building at times, something of a transit fan/rail fan, and little bit of "Urb Ex-ing"... particularly transit station related Urb Ex-ing

I try to "think outside the box" a lot, since that is part of my whole non-conformist anti-sheep herd mentality. Also, I can have a bit of an off beat, weird (but harmless) sense of humor at times, due to liking to be a bit of character at times. Probably comes from me listening to some of Weird Al Yankovic's tunes at times. hehe

Btw, any and all are more than welcome to download and even re-upload anything I post here as I will never claim copyright nonsense, since I'm of more of a GNU public license, "copyleft" mindset.

Plain and simple; For me... no copyright wanted... no copyright needed. I try to keep it simple by giving something for the sake of giving it, without any strings attached, or I just don't give it to begin with.

After all, internet content is at It's best when it's at it's most copyright free, public domain in nature. Share and share alike.

In closing... stick it to the man whenever possible. Buy generic.. BE generic.

PS - If anyone wants me to try putting together something for them under Gimp, don't hesitate to ask. (And, no.. there's no charge for such stuff from me, in case you may have thought otherwise).
