Funded by Grey and Bruce Counties since 2007, the Local Food Project (LFP) is working to improve the economic viability of farming within the counties. Our inventory of local food businesses: the over 300 local food businesses listed on our website - reveals the stunning quality and variety of food products already produced in the area. Our task is to get the word out - to residents, to visitors, to restaurants and food shops, to the world - Buy Local! Buy Fresh!

The goals of the LFP are:

1) Promoting the use of local foods and helping to improve the viability and success of our agricultural communities.

2) Increasing access to local food by creating links between producers, processors, restaurants, retailers and institutional kitchens.

3) Partnering with the Grey Bruce Agriculture & Culinary Association, and other organizations, to grow the local food system.
