The San Antonio Blues Society Inc., a Texas not-for-profit 501(3)c corporation founded in October of 1990, was established for the sole purpose of promoting and preserving blues music. It is our mission to ensure the continuation of blues music by offering educational programs within our community and to preserve locations and artifacts relevant to the history of blues music and its artists.
We support blues venues and blues artists through our promotional efforts and participation in blues related activities and events, and by encouraging our community to appreciate the historical value and the enjoyment of blues music.

Through S.A.B.S. educationl programs in our local schools and scholarships awarded to area students, we encourage our youth to find enjoyment and fulfillment in the rich legacy that is American Blues.

The "Blues News" is published quarterly for members and friends of the Society. The newsletter features interviews, photos, reviews, upcoming events, and all things 'blues'!

Articles, recordings, pictures, and other blues related materials are donated to and accepted by the San Antonio Blues Society.
