I am a physical therapist and recreational SCUBA diver who is fortunate enough to be living my dreams out on the Kona coast of Hawai'i. I am married to my best friend, Betty, and we have been together for over 20 amazing years. I have a lot of interests but diving is my main recreation and I love to photograph the beautiful creatures I encounter.
I have two step-children who have grown up to be kind and productive people with families of their own. I am incredibly proud of them. I also have four smart and good-looking step-grandchildren. One of them, Jacques, lives here on the island and I spend a lot of time with him. He has taught me a great deal about the truly important things in life. He is five years old.
Besides diving, my interests include stamp collecting, shell collecting, history, reading, crossword puzzles and building paper models. I'm also interested in airplanes and things related to aviation. My dad was an Air Force mechanic and my step-son is career Air Force, too.
I've always loved the ocean. I grew up watching "Sea Hunt", "Flipper" and Jacques Cousteau on TV. I was a big fan of Aquaman comic books as well. Now I live in a place where swimming with dolphins is a commonplace activity, where whales leap throughout the winter months and where manta rays glide silently beneath the waves. I hope you enjoy my underwater photographs.
