I'm a biology professor who studies the behavior of animals in their natural habitats. My work on various organisms, including coral reef fishes, gazelles, birds, bats, and (drumroll...) seaweeds, has, over the last 30 years (gulp!), taken me to many amazing parts of the planet. I take lots of pictures and enjoy the few times when everything seems to work out. I also appreciate the amazing wildlife images that others somehow manage to capture, which is why I like Flickr.
