My name is Gareth, I am 29 years old and live in South Wales UK. I was new to photography after having received my first Nikon DSLR free with a mobile phone contract (!!!) a few years ago,

Since then ... well ... to put it lightly, photography has become somewhat of an (read another !) obsession. I shoot Nikon, mainly with a D300S as the crop factor helps for getting the most out of my tele lensesI also shoot 35mm film gnerally using Fuji Neopan 400CN as I like the deep contrast.

My delight is in photographing local wildlife, in particular the variety of birds that live in the immediate vicinity. I hold a Schedule 1 Licence for some of our more protected birds. I also assist with the running of my partners Portraiture Business, so you'll mainly find birds and portraits with a sprinkling of landscapes on my stream.

I am avidly trying to better myself with every press of the shutter release. Hopefully my photostream will show a steady improvement to my photography and is currently a chronological record of what I felt at that time was a good shot. Hopefully my skill will progress.
