    marco pedrana says:

"Louie Metz's arts hits me first for its great craftmanship. It has a care and a class that are pearls when they are coupled with a coherency such as this.

To just be conscious of his tools would make him an excellent painter, but there is so much more in Louie' work, regarding subtle emotions, retained and almost asking you to get in the frame, voraciously in need and yet quietly away.

    that's a great art!"

"Louie’s work is truly amazing. With such elegance his art will take you out of your comfort zone and force you to examine society’s harsh realities. Definitely one of my favorites!"

    Be7 says:

"Louie is special the way he handles not only a painting brush but also his female models. He has a talent to catch both her figure and mood and then include and expose his own view through the painted woman. Even in paintings with cold or chaotic surroundings his women are, although totally exposed, handled with respect and dignity and artistic taste. To me he personifies the Master of contemporary painted portraits especially combined with the mature naked female and her body and anatomy. He is an Anders Zorn of our time."

    Alan K. says:

"It has been my luck , in life, to have come in contact with a few exceptional artists . It is a rare occurrence , but when it happens , I feel fortunate and inspired in my own work. Louie Metz is one of those rare artists who renews my faith in the potential of painting as an effective means when portraying the human condition , in a meaningful way. He is not content to limit his vision to color, form, line, or composition. There must be a reason , an expression, that helps him define his ( and our ) existance as human beings within the personal and social context.
So , sit back , turn on his slide show and attempt to uncover the layered meanings within his work. You will be better for the experience."
