I´m working as a gardener and arborist.

I take photos since I was a child, for a few years I worked as a professional photographer, but I could not stand the stupidity of advertisement and I quit the job.

My father gave me my first camera (a huge an complicated ZEISS-IKONTA 6 x 9). Until now photography is a fascinating mystery, I can`t explain.
Gary Winogrand comes very close to the point: "I don't have anything to say in any picture. My only interest in photography is to see what something looks like as a photograph. I have no preconceptions."

I`m glad, that I can share this with my wife; we talk a lot about photography and we take photos every day.

I`m at home in both worlds: analog and digital. My heart prefers the analog way.

Digital results always have an artificial sleekness, which I try to cast out with different experiments like ttv and other low fi stuff. On the other side are my computer and Photoshop important for me, but they are tools.
I like to stay in contact with people through flickr. It´s very good, that there are so many with an veritable interesting in photography. It`s a great medium for communication.
