I wanted to be a race car driver, World Champion to be exact. A crash course in racing reality led to my picking up a camera and taking racing snaps.
One thing led to another and before I knew it I had amassed an archive of racing images that is approximately 75K images in size. A goodly number of them have been published nationally and internationally in magazines, newspapers and books.
I started taking racing pics in '74 and did so through '97. During those seasons I also wrote a lot of race reports for a lot of different publications.
Series I photographed include Formula Atlantic, CART, F1, Trans Am, IMSA, Formula Super Vee, and Can Am.
I recently acquired a proper scanner and am gradually working my way through my images.
I will be uploading images as often as possible.
