SHORT TO THE POINT is an international network of distribution, broadcast and promotion of short films. Since 2009, SHORT TO THE POINT has gone through several steps:

1. Under the slogan "Don’t let your film gather dust in a drawer!" STTP has enabled professionals to enter into the festival line-up with films older than 3 years, which were later broadcast online, on TV, in cinemas or distributed as a collection on DVD.

2. "Any story can be turned into a film" is the slogan with which STTP has attracted film fans to test their creativity, directing low / nobudget movies especially for the festival.

3. In May 2009 STTP started up the first and only Online Festival of Short Films in Romania. The films participating in the competition were uploaded onto the website www.shorttothepoint.com and around 10,000 usersvoted for them in the 3-week time span.

4. In the autumn of 2009, STTP completed the longest tour of a festival of short films. The caravan ran for 45 days and visited 29 cities in Romania: Buzau, Slobozia, Galati, Ramnicu Sarat, Focsani, Bacau, Iasi, Piatra Neamt, Suceava, Bistrita, Borsa, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Oradea, Caransebes, Resita , Timisoara, Hunedoara, Deva, Alba Iulia, Cluj, Targu Mures, Sighisoara, Sibiu, Valcea, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Brasov, Fagaras.

Distribution, broadcast and promotion
Short films don’t have a very long life. Theoretically, the only time when filmmakers can show their work is during short film festivals. But SHORT TO THE POINTcomes with a number of opportunities for promoting, broadcasting and distributing the films entered into the festival.
STTP offers professionals and amateurs the opportunity to see their short films on TV, in cinemas, online and on DVD. Thus, STTP reaches an estimated number of 30,000 spectators in Romania.

Contest
Every year, in May, SHORT TO THE POINT organizes a short film competition that takes place online and is open first and foremost to amateurs. Participating movies are made in a low / no budget system and can even be shoton a mobile phone.

Education
SHORT TO THE POINT released first film school for children in Romania. The courses take place regularly in the form of a workshop in which young people can experience the techniques of shooting, editing, directing and set design, sound, film, makeup, etc.
