I'm a full-time medical imaging researcher and part-time freelance photographer from Toronto who takes improving his craft seriously. Though it's nice to get paid to take photos sometimes, most of what I shoot is just for me. Nowadays, in my mid-30's, I hope that at least a few of the photos are worth sharing.

All of the photos in my stream were taken by me, except some of those that are of me. With the craziness in my world, I still love my photos and try to escape with them as much as possible. Like many of the wonderful photographers I've been exposed to on here, my photos can be very personal to me. Though imitation is the best flattery, please don't copy them without giving credit where credit is due.

When you look at my photos, what you see is what you get. At least a taste of almost everything I shoot these days ends up posted here. Sometimes things "work" sometimes they don't. Sometimes the setup is with lots of extra lighting and equipment, sometimes it's just me and my camera. A lot of the things I try and new techniques I learn have been inspired by other photographers on flickr, many of whom I admire greatly. (So if I like your photos, don't be too surprised if your work starts to influence mine.)

If you like what you see, please let me know. I'm always looking for new friends with shared interests, so leave me a comment or send me a message if you feel like it. In my opinion, it's only through interaction that we can learn and create wonderful things.

And, just so you know... my "friend" and "family" tags are just to keep my contact list organized. There are very few photos that I post that aren't there for everyone to see, but I do put folks whose photos I really, really like higher up in the "rankings". (At the very least, you know if you're tagged as family I was very stuck by your photos and don't want to lose track of whatever you're up to next.)
