My real name is Lynn, but I don't want it displayed on every one of my pages.
Because of the recent changes to how Flickr handles our streams, I have had a long fight in the forums to get some help with a couple of issues.
The new larger size medium hurts my eyes because of an ocular disorder I have that is caused by Fibromyalgia. (UPDATE: A very generous Flickr member wrote a GreaseMonkey script that reduces the image back down to 500px on the longest side! Thank-you!)
Also, the excessive and unnecessary five-image prefetch, coupled with the giant map and larger image was eating up my very limited rural bandwidth long before I was able complete my admin duties on my many groups. (UPDATE: Flickr staff has found a solution to the bandwidth dilemma for me, so I will be able to stay after all! YAY!)
However, because of Flickr's decision to make the large size of EVERYONE'S photo available for global download, I have taken my photos private ... for friends and family, ONLY.
