The Image Maker's photostream

Hi. I live in Liverpool in the UK and have done all my life. I have few claims to fame, although I did go to the same school as Paul McCartney and George Harrison. But not at the same time, as they are older!

Photographically I was introduced to it by my dear Dad who was very keen. He had an enlarger and the chemical trays etc, so he used to shoot a lot of black and white and then we'd set up the bathroom as a darkroom with the enlarger and trays on boards over the bath.

My first camera was a waist-held square negative job given me by one of Dad's working colleagues. I moved on to a Boots (Chemist) Beirette and then got serious. When at university I bought a Pentax KM and followed up with a Super-A in the mid 80s.

The hobby tended to fall away a bit as digital came along as I felt film was waning but digital hadn't made it. Now however digital is it. I started with a Sony compact which is great, but more recently I also bought a Nikon D60. Along with my then fiancee and now wife, Jane, flickr has been responsible for renewing my enthusiasm and there seems to be a real outbreak of photography again as a hobby amongst work colleagues and friends.
