I am the editor of a small weekly paper in NW Illinois. Formerly a city girl, I now relish my rural life. I garden, bake, cook, sew, knit and love every minute of it!

I have always loved to take photos, and love to explore the world through flickr!!

September 15, 2009 I started a 365 Days project. Looking for a photo class my rural setting proved daunting. I completed the task, and have learned more in this time than in my years of picture taking! I meet so many inspiring people, and made lasting internet friendships.

On January 1, 2011 I began my second 365.

Also, if you add me as a contact and do not have any photos on your stream, I will block you.

Please do not use my photos without my permission. This includes blogging and reposting on the Internet. Just ask.

"Stacie see's everyday and the normal...but not in the normal way.

She captures images like a hunter catches prey. Sharing these images with the flickr universe is a pleasure I am guilty of taking!

Her images are both fun and intriguing... a stream well worth a few hours in!"

"Stacie just freakin' rocks. I haven't watched her as long as some, but I have seen her turn from a snapshooter to a full fledged photographer.

She creates unique images that are wholly her own. They touch the heart, astound the mind, and tickle the whimsy of even the most jaded old shutter tripper. Watching Stacie mature into a photographer who shoots images of her own life in an indisputedly artistic and lasting manner, such as "Washington Road", "365/272", and "hennepin canal in february" has helped me begin again, seeing with rejuvenated eyes, as every person with a camera should.

And through it all, Stacie remains true to herself, her vision, and her family. Yeah, the girl just freakin' rocks!"

"Ah, Stacie.... we go way back to the early days of knitter blogging. Probably one of my first contacts and commenters on both the blog and flickr. She is one of those people that just clicked with me out here and I feel she is a 'real' friend though we have never met in person.
I have watched her photography and creativity bloom with the start of her 365 project. Each day her photos getting more technical, more beautiful, more silly, and always full of "Stacie" style.
    you rock, moshpit, you rock."

    ChernobylBob says:

"I have been following Stacie's 365 since Day One and I have enjoyed each one immensely; In fact it has now got to the point that viewing her daily shot has become part of my daily routine (get home from work, take 365 shot, post 365 shot, view and comment on Stacie's 365 shot). Stacie's photos range from emotional, to beautiful, to funny, to strange, to hilarious; all in a fantastically random pattern and all excellent and a joy to view.
A few time I have almost chucked in the 365 towel but Stacie and her shots have always convinced me to carry on. So, as we come to the middle of both our 365 journeys and ideas become more difficult to come by, I thought I'd drop this Testimonial in here just to increase the pressure slightly more... I suppose that is not necessarily a nice thing to do... but hey... I'm not necessarily a very nice person...

Ace shots m.m... Keep it up! :D

    Cheers,

    Matt (ChernobylBob)"
