“Impossible is not a fact;
it’s an opinion.
Impossible is not a declaration;
it’s a dare.
Impossible is potential.
Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing.”
- Muhammad Ali

I have used the following equipment off and on for the last 6 or so years:
1. Nikon N5005
(A dog and one of the worst rated Nikon film cameras of all time ! but I loved it, my first SLR)
2. Nikon Coolpix 5700
(Remarkably good point and shoot, though a bit slow to respond and very noisy by today's standards. My first Digital camera)
3. Nikon D70
(Great first D-SLR, and a very competent all round camera. Excellent overall. Great fit with the 18-70 Nikkor)
4. Nikon D200
(Awesome camera. Had a couple of problems though. 1. noise characteristics weren't great in low light and 2. The banding issue was famous, but the mirror slap also produced artifacts in similar situations to the banding scenario. Started to show its age in 2010, which is when I replaced it.)
5. Nikon D300s
(Fantastic camera. Too much camera for my existing lenses, so replaced the 18-200mm VR, with the 16-85 and 70-300mm (as per the recommendation of Thom Hogan). Turned out to be a good decsion, the new lenses are pretty sharp.)
Minor Cameras:
6. Sony DSC T-100
(Nice and sleek, more style than substance though, disappointing results especially for its price point)
7. Cannon Powershot S90
(First Cannon, a very good carry around camera as a companion to a DSLR.)
Lenses:
1. Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 VR
(super walk around lens except for the purple fringing and the lens creep which is starting to get annoying. Oh, and the VR shudders)
2. Nikkor 18-70mm
(the D70 kit lens, not a bad cheap lens)
3. Nikkor 50mm f1.8
(Good fast lens and super sharp but not very usable with the 1.5X magnification factor)
4. Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6
(Excellent wiiiide lens, superb for special effects, really awesome lens when used correctly)
5. Sigma 70-300mm Macro (a bit too soft, the 300mm helped, but the speed was too slow)
6. Nikkor 105mm f2.8 Macro.
(Superb Macro and Portrait lens)
7. Nikkor 28mm f2.8
(A good prime lens to have for walking about, more useful for digital Nikon bodies than the 50mm)
8. Nikkor 16-85mm f3.5-5.6 VR
(Very usable zoom, quite sharp at most f-stops)
9. Nikkor 70-300mm f4-5.6.
(Surprisingly sharp for a large tele-zoom, unfortunately you loose out on bokeh, but you can't have everything).
