Though "Pro" will show on my pages and comments (because I paid for more space), I am a hack (a kinder term might be amateur). Interests are legion, skills likely singular.

I am returning to photography after a 15 year hiatus (usual excuses of work pressures, etc). But, three years ago, I took severance (I suppose I'm severed ... with no spilled blood ... LOL), and after 30 years as a scientist/engineer that over wired one of my two gray cells in the leftward fashion, maybe Flickr can help put some wires on the right side.

I have always loved wandering around country roads, being creatively lost, viz. I'm as likely to trun Left or Right, randomly at any intersection. Often, I'll make the same turn four times and not realize it until things look familiar. Gotta laugh, and I do.

My new digial SLR equipment is an Olympus E500 with 14-45mm and 40-150mm zooms. Toying with getting a 50mm/f2 macro lens, but have a shaky check writing hand ... sigh.

I would like to improve "seeing" and compositions. I am worst with people shots, not sure why, Maybe because I dislike a cmera poked at me, and usually do the plastic smile of snap shots.

I would appreciate any comments and critiques on ANY aspect of photography: framing, exposures, cropping, adjustments, lens choices, etc.
