During the summer of 2009, college student Ben Richardson remembered his father by hiking 2,170 miles on the Appalachian Trail. In the months leading up to the journey, PennyBen raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society, which was presented to the Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids, Mich. before Ben left for his hike.
