sakura love's photostream
|
The way how I see my photography is my personal journal and my adventure to see the world outside of my comfort zone. I don't try to categorize my work either photojournalism or documentary work. For me it is a personal journey to be out there on the street and catch the moment meaning something for me. I am just a photographer and to record the memory.
Thank you for so many of your appreciate of my work.

_Hans van de Vorst says:
"High quality street photography is quite rare "here", but Ying is one of the exceptions to the rule. Her decisive moments in time in raw B&W are a sheer joy to watch and study. There's depth in those pictures: she has got a marvelous humanistic eye and a great feel for emotions that most people don't see, but Ying captures them in a split second. That seems effortless, but I know that it takes a lot of time, patience and concentration. Ying is a great photographer - 26/8/8 Hans"

"Everything that has been said about Ying's work... shadows, composition, juxtaposition, the everyday-ness... WOW, rings true for me too. What really impresses me most is how GIVING BACK she is with comments and kind words of encouragement. Ying is one of the best contacts to have on flickr. I am grateful to be in her consciousness. Thank you Ying! You have a huge heart."

"I should have done this much ealier. She took many pictures that influenced me in terms of geometry within photography. When I started, I always found that pictures based on lines, shapes and structures are kinda lifeless. But then there came some great photographers who changed my opinion about that and she is one of them.
I also apprechiate her ongoing appearance on flickr a lot. It seems she is a nice person, too. But unfortunalety I've never met her so I can't tell for sure.. ; D"6th July, 2008

"She is undoubtedly one of the best street photographers, ever. Going through her stream was a big factor in really getting me into street photography. Commander Ray says:
"The top three things I love about Ying's work: the amazing shadows, the composition (what Cartier-Bresson would call "geometry"), and genuine love of humanity. She might say she is a beginner, but her photography is right up there with Robert Frank and the Gods of Magnum Photo. Wonderful light, empathy, joy and sorrow...the human condition and our world as it is NOW (and so much more) are there in her beautiful photographs. Look and learn!"

"Sakura Love is the greatest street snap photographer for me.
Her photographs taught me the splendor of this category.
though of course the technique is exquisite,
her photographs condensed the beauty of the moment in the usual people's life.
they show the richness of people's facial expression and various aspects of this world)
(they are so candid, so the "beauty" I wrote previously contains the courage not to refuse to face the reality.) and sometimes when I thought what kind of feeling she released the shutter at that moment with, I cannot but paying respect for her."19th February, 2008

Ying isn't just good with a camera, she's also very good with people, you would need to be, to do what she does so well. I couldn't do it myself, but I do enjoy the work of a true and courageous artist."3rd November, 2007

"Where do I begin?
Ying is one of my favourite photographers here on Flickr. She sees light and people in the most unique and wonderful way, and I do believe she is the "invisible woman" with some of these shots she is able to get. Time and time again I have been absolutely amazed by her photograpy. Her perspective and view of the world is so truly her own, her love of cities and the people that dwell in them is shown with each photograph she takes.
Versatile and creative are two words I would use to decribe what you will feel when you view Ying's photostream. There are many magical moments here, much emotion, atmosphere and that knack she has for being (always) there to capture that moment that we all wish we could have caught.

"Although I've only known sakura love for a few week, I think she's a person with a warm heart and is a wonderful Flickr friend.
Her photostream is always fancinating. What make me addicted to her works is not just the beauty but also the special point of view of them.

"Sakura's photos are inspiring and unique. I love the way she's able to capture an unusual image from the ordinary things in life. Her pictures make me smile."
