The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art opened in March 2nd 2008 - a state of the art facility and the first purpose built museum in Bermuda. The new museum houses an impressive collection covering 300 years of visual art, all linked by a common theme: Bermuda.

The island's extraordinary beauty and unique quality of light have been the source of inspiration for a diverse range of artists. Watercolours, lithographs, photographs and etchings comprise the collection, as well as a constantly evolving showcase of local artists.

The permanent collection boasts such names as Georgia O'Keeffe, Winslow Homer, Henry Moore, Malcolm Morley, Charles Demuth, Marsden Hartley, Edwina Sandys, Ogden Pleissner, Albert Gleizes, Jack Bush, Jennifer Bartlett and John Pfahl.

The museum is a work of art in itself. Located in the Botanical Gardens in Paget, Bermuda five minutes from the capital city of Hamilton, the building combines 21st century architecture with some of Bermuda's oldest and finest. There are two galleries, a mezzanine exhibition space, conservation and storage room, classroom, art library and members' lounge. A cafe and gift shop are planned for the future.

Museum Hours: 10AM - 4PM, Monday - Saturday.
Members and children under 12 - FREE.
General Admission $5.
