I set up a small charity called Friends of Mettupalayam, whilst at college. We have been working with a great friend Mr Venkatachalam in Tamil Nadu, South India for nearly 20 years. Our work focuses on improving the economic and social circumstances of some of the rural poor. Much of our work is targetted at children. The newest feature of our work is developing an inclusive approach to disability in the community.
