Fascinated with photography, music and the visual arts since childhood, I enrolled in photography at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Working in black and white at the time, I was most notably inspired by Richard Avedon's fashion photography.

Once introduced to color, I was deeply moved by the mystical color fields of Georgia O'Keefe and Mark Rothko and I condsider this work my strongest influence. My current work is a minimalist expression of color, light and space, also revealing a strong influence of contemporary jazz and classical music, particularly "Intuition" by Lennie Tristano, the first recorded example of spontaneous collective improvisation. My grafitti and urban "Street Art" follow along the same lines, capturing aleatory and found images.

Now at age 80, I have chosen to fulfill a lifelong passion for my art through numerous gallery exhibitions as well as in public and private collections. Of particular interest is the "Motion Capture" series which presents the viewer with a fresh view of common light sources captured through improvisational camera movement.
