Hi,

I have taken early retirement and thus have plenty of time for my photographic career. Currently, I am working on a book, actually two books. I started taking photos when I was about 6 years old, 49 years ago. My Mother was a big fan and she got me interested. I think my first camera was one of her old ones, called a “box” camera. In the recent past (30 years back) my best camera was Nikon, “Nikkormat”. In its day it was thought of as a very good inexpensive Nikon. A few of the photos I have posted are scanned copies taken with this Nikon. But most of the photos on Flickr are taken with my OLYMPUS. I have asked this company if they wanted to support me with my books, they said no, even though they do have a program for this. Most all of my photos are taken in the wild, no zoos, plant nurseries or botanical gardens. I have a tripod but I haven’t used it in 20 years. Granted, a great deal of my photos would have been better had I used a tripod and a telephoto lens! Maybe, after my book deal I will be able to afford better equipment. I am going to go back to Nikon for better results.
