Friendly, outgoing guy who's an optimistic cynic by nature. Happily partnered for the last five years, I just finished my teaching certification program (as of May 2010) to teach middle and high school English and special education (now I just need to find a teaching job in our stinky economy!). I like orchids (a hobby that's turned into something of a vice over the years), reading, writing, exercising, nature, animals, insects (still my dream to become an entomologist some day), Italian food, durian fruit (although my partner insists that it stay in the garage whenever I swing by the local Asian market and pick one up) and am a practicing Zen Buddhist.
