My names James and i have recently finished an BTECH Art Foundation in Southampton. I am 20yrs old and just starting to break into the industry.

I specialize in Fashion & Portraiture. I love working with the human figure and natural lighting, you can't beat the light nature can provide when the conditions are just right.

Photography was just something i stumbled upon, i starting taking the odd photo when i was about 15 with a point & shoot but never really took it seriously till my final year of A levels during a open project where i started to look at portraiture. This then very quickly went down the route of fashion and using models in my work. Ive never looked back.
The human figure really is something, working with the nude human figure is another one of my loves in art and to truly understand how to pose and work with a model i think you have to have experience in this.

Last christmas i was lucky enough to be on the beaches of Cuba photographing one of Lancôme's models. I thought i had spotted a model but apparently not lol. I wish i was back there again this christmas.

Ive have spent most of my life growing up on the Isle of Wight and i am very lucky to have done so. Its landscapes and locations have inspired me no end and still continues me to. Now however i need to make the move as you really relies how isolated you are over here. Its not exactly the cosmopolitan attitude either.

I try to get up to London as much as possible to network so if you are anything from another photographer, make-up artist or stylist etc it would be great to meet up and chat over a pint or a coffee. I am also up and around Manchester in certain times of the year so please let me know.

I do commissioned shoots as well as TFCD / TFP shooting.

I have done work for people such as Yellowbrick Road & Red House Spa on the Isle of Wight along with other mainland commissions.

I love low ISO's and lower apertures to create high contrast imagery, i like my photos to have depth. Medium formats are another good one for this.

My plans when to a bit of a mess this year....i planned to study at university but apparently London College of Fashion thought differently for all the right reasons. Guess I've just cut 3 years off my journey. I feel very chucked in the deep end to say the least!

I've met some interesting people over the years and i really hope i keep meeting them.
