I’m learning to make good images, live in Jakarta Indonesia with a very slow Internet connection

I always had been impressed by photography and want to have a camera since I was a little boy, but my first camera was a fuji finepix 2800z that I bought by my self the first year that I had a job (2000), a point and shoot camera with big zoom (10x), actually all I do with that camera was point and shoot, images of the Krakatau Volcano are from this camera, before get married I bought a Lumix FZ-20 (2004) .. with this camera I began to learn the basics of photography, examples of the Lumix FZ-20 are the Bali images (my honey moon) and several macros using the raynox filter in the FZ-20 (pretty decent in my opinion)… most of the theory that I get was from the internet in sites that are great to learn and very educative and informative and forums in the web too.
After my son was born (2006), I step to the next level, I bought my first DSRL (current camera), the adaptation to the SRL takes time, and I’m still adapting and learning..
Most of my images are portraits of my family, macros using a raynox close-up filter (that my wife gives me as a present for my FZ-20) attached to my 50 mm F1.8 and sometimes with the macro ability of the sigma 70-300, I like the result of the raynox more than the sigma, maybe one day I will buy a macro lens, but for sure that not any time soon. And some landscapes from vacations that actually I don’t have much.

I’m a week end amateur photographer and a week days Flickr active.
