Filipino, 5'7", long hair, bearded. A student of Hermetics and the Kabbalah; and formerly sidelined as an astrologer and a tarot card reader. Sun and Moon in Pisces. Mercury, Venus and Mars are all in Aries. I'm easily taken for a ride; but I prefer to do the driving.

My first camera was a Nikon F Photomic given to me by my Uncle Rosendo in 1975. I then worked as press photographer/features writer for two years(1980-1982) at the University of the Philippines Information Office in Diliman, Quezon City(I was a Mass Comm. alumnus there). I then returned to my hometown in Cebu City(1982) to help manage our family pension house. I went back to shooting again (street photography) in 1987 and eventually started sponsoring minor pageants and bikini competitions in 2002; as I was beginning to get fascinated with female beauty. It's this merry mix of shooting experiences which has resulted to the present style of photography that I'm doing today, not to mention the fact that I'm still single. I wish to have more experience photographing/glorifying different beauties of different races; but I'm stuck with Cebuanas(Austronesians) for the time being. To be honest, I think that Filipinas are some of the most attractive women in the world - photography-wise. Otherwise, I would have been better off spending my time shooting cliché orange beach sunsets, old small colonial churches and creepy street scenes from over here.

Cheers,
Ossie

The aspiring photographer who wishes to produce better images must first learn how to previsualize.
====================================================================
To become proficient in photography, one has to constantly imagine a rectangular frame in front of him; and he always has to determine what elements ought to be introduced inside and what ought not to be included in that frame.
====================================================================
The human CCD(mind) sees/interprets/envisions/creates the image. A photographer employs a camera among his other tools in a vain attempt to further realize it; and then hopefully to share it with others.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A successful photograph/image is a working extension of the photographer's/artist's mind.

"To fully appreciate and learn from a good photograph, we don't only try to look for something we like that's in front of us. We might also want to get inside the mind of the person who was behind the camera."

"A photographer may 'hide' behind his camera; but it's his vision, his view of the world in general and how he sees life in particular which may determine the content of his images. He may pretend he's doing it for the money, or claim that he's aiming to perfect his craft; or if he's more into the aesthetic side, he may say that he's searching for truth, or for that 'elusive' beauty in everyday things. But the greatest goal of a photographer, whether amateur or pro, is the admiration of his peers.
So here in Flickr, be profuse in your praises, and tread softly on his dreams. He may help make this world a more beautiful place for all of us someday."

Many thanks to Mike Solon for renewing my pro account.

40% of what we see we look with our our eyes. All the rest is imagination.
