.Bala's photostream
|

Exploring the world through the viewfinder! I love to travel and photography is a great excuse to do it.
I am a geek and love toys, but I'm trying hard not to be a gear-head when it comes to photography.
Contacts:
If I add you as a contact, it simply means I like your stream and want to watch it. I'm not into the whole 'I add you and you add me' thing.
Comments:
Ditto as above. Comment if you want to, not because you expect a comment back in return or because I've commented on your photos. I value constructive criticism more than a 'nice photo' comment. I might not always agree with you, but I'm thick skinned and welcome feedback.
Groups :
I'm not interested in joining any new groups. If you absolutely want me to submit my image to some group, do send me an invite code so I can just add it without joining.
I abhor groups which mandate awards/comments and won't entertain them.
Licensing :

Most of my photos are licensed under the (Attribution-NonCommercial) Creative commons license. I like it if I'm dropped a note about the use of my photos.
Prints :
Check out my website or my Etsy page for prints.

"Bala’s photography is full of awesome. As someone who’s fairly new to the wonders of exploring the world through the viewfinder, I am addicted to Bala’s photostream for picking up ideas and inspiration, both of which are available in much abundance there. What I like the most about his photography is the simplicity it holds, even with all the technical precision that one takes for granted with Bala. The depth of personal involvement he has with his photography is obvious. I have never met him, but I can almost guarantee that his shots are never mere clicks – they are memories, stories, and anecdotes – and that’s what differentiates riveting photography, from just technically sound photography.
Happy new year, Bala! And continue the good work in 2009 :)"30th December, 2008

"Bala is a constantly-improving photographer who continually blows me away with his creativity and artistry. Just by looking through his stream, you can see how far he has come in so little time; it's a shame that I never got to walk around and pick his brain or watch him take shots before he moved. Hopefully I will get to one day, and until then, I'll be studying his stream learning what I can, and enjoying his awesome work."
