I am new to photography and found it to be a rewarding and challenging (if expensive) hobby. Many of my family members, especially my sister (whose work I greatly admire), are avid shutterbugs and have been a great help as I start my journey. I recently bought my wife a Nikon Coolpix P80 and I knew I was hooked when we would argue over who got the camera.
On Friday the 13th I purchased my long-awaited first dSLR, the Nikon D40, and made another important step. I am an avid reader and have been devouring almost any book on the subject I can find. So far I only have the 18-55mm VR kit lens and the 55-200mm non-VR. Right now I'm just getting used to the new camera and it's settings, so I hope to start posting more pictures soon.
I am happily married to my wife of almost 10 years and have two children (5 and 8).
