I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and at a young age of a month and a half, my family and I moved to Toronto, Canada. Leaving our relatives behind, I make it an effort to go back to Portugal as often as I can to visit my whole family.... especially my grandmother (avosinha)... who will appear in my photostream.
My love of photography began in 2001 while taking some photography courses at George Brown College, in Toronto, and bought my first Nikon FE in 2002. I especially enjoy black and white photography and darkrooms are where I love watching my work come to life. Other than owning a Nikon Coolpix for personal uses, I haven't yet converted to the digital world. I do not have the slightest idea on how to use photoshop, nor lightroom - but it is on my "to do" list! I am as old school when it comes to photography as it gets. Ha ha!
