30-some years ago, I left over-populated Colorado for Alaskan wilderness oriented jobs: Hunting & Fishing Guide, Fish & Game Biologist, State Park Ranger. I finally got serious about a pension and survived 20 years as a cop. But 1 year of retirement bored me to death, so now I work seasonally for USDA Wildlife Services on remote projects.

Not really a tree-hugger, I enjoy hunting with camera and gun equally. I believe both activities increase my appreciation and knowledge of Nature.

Recently, with the advent of high-resolution digital cameras, I have become quite excited again about wildlife photography. I only do it for fun and until quite recently, I had no idea other people enjoy doing the same thing. I love to travel the world and I'm currently learning how fly and to shoot my new Canon 5D.
