Michelle Nichols is currently located in Suffolk ,UK. Defined by her painterly and textured style, Michelle offers portrait work as well as working on her own fine art photography projects.

Heavily influenced by the Pre Raphaelite era as a child, the deeply emotional subject matter and early doctrines surrounding the genre have fuelled her life long journey of self exploration through fine art, and most recently photography. This dualism has introduced a new degree of artistic freedom, allowing her greatest visions to materialise in the form of fine art photography. Michelle's focus falls mainly on portraiture and conceptual themes, her distinctive style marked by her other worldly compositions and painterly look to her pieces.

Despite the obvious beauty surrounding her work, art is often more than just a pretty picture. Saying what a thousand words can not for her, Michelle's escapism is not only our pleasure but an invitation to relate. Often stories and intimate expressions of the self, her subject matter is heavily influenced by the workings of the human mind, spiritualism and the ego, as well as nostalgia and a fearful respect for the concept of time.

Michelle currently lives in Suffolk, England. As well as a photographer she is a singer/songwriter and musician (www.myspace.com/soundsthattalk) as well as an artist. She plans to introduce her paintings in addition to her photography in 2011.
