Hello, my name is Daniel Montoya. I was born in Madrid, Spain and raised in the picturesque city of Segovia, Spain.

I am a self-represented artist and creative graphic designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York.

My main focus and interest is in two-dimensional media such as painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, mixed media, collage, creative graphic design, and digital art.

I also like to experiment with different art genres such as still life, flowers, architectural landscape, portraiture, geometric shapes and the human figure.

In regards to subject matter – I employ representational imagery to depict the simple joys of life, moments of contemplation, and the beautiful things that surround me -- while at the same time on a spiritual level I am concerned with themes that explore our relationship with nature and the human condition oftentimes making use of symbolic iconography, form, and color.

I studied art at Tufts University & the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Pratt Institute of Art & Design in Brooklyn, NY.

My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been sold to numerous private collections.
