I am poppies in the field's photostream

Well, hello there.

I never know what to say in these things. Sorry if this is somewhat garbled.

My name is Lily Moss, I'm a 21 year old English Literature student, born, bred and currently living in London. I like tea, rainy days, dancing in thunderstorms with my friends, snuggling up with my boyfriend and puppy, my camera, red shoes, lipstick, venetian masks, drag kings and queens, burlesque, seedy bars and decadent lifestyles, champagne in the morning and the sun dappled by oak trees.

I'm on here in a couple of different guises (Mossling) but started a new profile for a few reasons. I have mainly focused on showcasing or archiving my work on here in the past, but now I'm starting to explore the possibility of using this more as a developmental tool. I hope to start (and maybe even finish!) a 365 project and get some more critical feedback on my ongoing professional projects. I tend to be specifically focused on: creative portraiture, nudes, landscapes and fine art shoots.

In terms of my photographical background, I'm a darkroom trained photographer who graduated somewhat grudgingly onto digital. I know I am somewhat of a purist, but I don't mean that as an insult to digital manipulators; I have great respect for a lot of their work. However, will not touch photoshop, all my images are straight from camera, no editing whatsoever. I also use an awful lot of film and polaroid when I can; I just love the serendipitous nature of film.

I have exhibited in London and Seattle (the former on several occasions in different galleries), featured in art magazines and books and undertaken commission and corporate work for several notable companies.

I also have a talent for making really damn good jelly. Seriously, I'm not kidding; it’s one of those freakish talents. But I am officially the best jelly maker of anyone I know :)
