  "i first met tinny-peete while riding the trans-mongolian railway into St. Petersburg Russia, drinking luke-warm vodka straight from his blue leather shoe with one hand pressed against the dirty window, imploring passengers next to him to trace the outline of his fingies with a black felt marker because as tinny said the only imprint worth leaving was a temporary one.. he sported a shortly cropped hairdu and one gold tooth but most notable was his itsy bitsy red camera tucked into the front pocket of his horribly cool torn T-shirt with the words Rug Bug sprayed across in bright yellow ... you never did see a most unusual collection of digital pics stored in such a weeny camera - immediately i knew tinny is the kind of laid back dude that laid back would copy so i followed him to Russia and he read me Dostoyevsky in the dark and we drank vodka until i fell face first on the floor; tinny tenderly propped me up against a wheel barrow of slimy slugs pointing out that he called them his best of the best kind of friends because they were better listeners than the railway conductors who spoke nary a word of English...i've never stopped liking the man since that time...as for his photographs well all i can tell you is to expect the weirdly wonderful... as tinny says the sublime is found under the grime and slime of ordinary and once you've got hold of the camera, the bottle of vodka the half lit sun behind your bum you've got just about everytin' you need to be happy"
