The name conjures up images of a magical lifestyle and an environment rich in nature, history and culture. This is what attracted Andre Vanne to settle here in one of the densest concentrations of creativity in Australia.

From here artwork of an international standard spreads around the globe into homes, corporate buildings, galleries and private collections.

From here Feathers' bird sculptures, created by Andre and Cathy Vanne, wing their way around the world into much loved collections. Collections that were started in 1984 when Andre and Cathy founded the world famous Feathers of Knysna in South Africa.

"Birds are the Earth's global ambassadors. They recognise no man-made boundaries, only those of the natural world. We should learn from them, for planet Earth is our common living space and our future depends on it."
