I have enjoyed photography since about 1968, it goes well with exploring my Alaskan backyard. In the 80's and 90's I did some Biology and then Film School and worked in Video Production for about five years until my mom needed personalized home heath care. That a lifetime ago and now I am watching over my father.

I shoot Nature with reverence. As God is the life source of our soul, nature is the construct of our physical bodies that we seem to identify with. It irks me to see human kind's desire to live selfishly, destroying his life blood and that of their children for defiant personal gain.

As John Muir once wrote "I love not Man the less, but nature the more". With so much to loose world wide, society marches forward forging it's own destruction, with no more thought to it then the lemmings towards their population crashes.

Protection of clean air and water is something everyone should stand firm on and apply their voice before governments that are ruled by money from commerce before reason.

I believe that if people are to ever understand and appreciate nature, that it must be touched, experienced and interacted with. It is only then one can know that they themselves are apart of it, and not beyond it.
