I’m a photographer from Hampshire. I'm not at college, I'm not a university. I'm in full time work and my current job has nothing to do with photography. However it is still my life, I take photos to escape, experiment and express. I feel I can capture almost anything nevertheless I am still learning.
My interest in camera work was triggered by my Dad and from the very early age of six I would watch my Dad in the darkroom (which was just our kitchen blacked out), while he printed an array of photos. Seeing the image appear in the developer mesmerised me and I truly thought it was genuine magic.
Photography is my way of communicating and expressing my thoughts, feelings and emotions. In this world there are thousands of different spoken languages which create a huge communication barrier. However, within this mass of worldwide confusion, photography and pictures can still be understood universally. Maybe it's a clichéd point to prove, but personally I think this underlines the concept that a picture can (with no specified language) speak a thousand words to a thousand different people. This idea of being able to communicate any chosen thought or idea on such a big scale is what fascinates me most about photography.
