mrwaterslidesark is a project being developed by mrwaterslide, who has been a member of flickr since 2005. The Ark is a 10-foot long, well, ark, kind of like Noah's Ark, only different. mrwaterslide (i.e., me, John Van Noate) intends to take the Ark around to churches, schools, synagogues, whereever and whomever will have him/it (and, he hopes, pay a bit for the privilege). It will be an environmental teaching-tool, spreading the gospel of Good Stewardship and Sustainability, along with the Gospel of Respect For All Living Creatures. Eventually, the Ark will be a kind of performance piece, displayed differently at each stop, with music, art, photographs, displays of various sorts, and fun things to do, like maybe a coconut shy or apple-bobbing, and a photobooth with maybe a paper moon backdrop. All sorts of things. You, in fact, are mightily encouraged to make your suggestions. Check back often as the delightful details of the Ark unfold.
