Hi, I'm Melissa. I was born and reared for 10 years in New England, followed by several years in Colorado with brief periods of exile in Virginia and North Carolina. I most recently made Texas home for six years, but I have returned to Colorado after my partner's slow deterioration following a traumatic brain injury in May 2005 made remaining there unhealthy for everyone involved.

I'm a co-conspirator to make the world a better place. Part of my commitment to that is volunteering as a Scouter. I collect maps, midcentury vintage clothing, and Archie McPhee metal snackboxes, usually can't tell you where my socks are, and enjoy modifying cheap action figures to amuse my friends. This cake is delicious.
