We moved to the Lake District from Lincolnshire 25 years ago and retired last year. Primary current interest is natural history, mainly insects. Before that our main interest was finding and photographing mountain flowers and wild orchids and we are currently busy turning our vast collection of slides into digital images.
Since July 2008 John has used a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 105 micro lens for all his insect photography. This camera replaced a D200 which didn't take kindly to being dropped in a lake on the first day of a dragonfly- hunting holiday in the Brenne. Linda uses a Nikon D40 with an 85 mm macro lens.
