The interplay of light, motion and sound in a performance generates strong emotional feelings in me which I have tried to capture in my pictures. The strong colours and highly directional lighting produce interesting ambiences. The performers and the extraordinary acts they sometimes create are transitory and my photographs are an attempt to capture the moment and make it permanent.

I am Phoonsab Thevongsa, otherwise known as Pong. I live and work in Vientiane, but travel (incessantly) to capture great images .
