I was born on September 24, 1994 in New Braunfels, TX. I lived in Texas till I was about three and have lived in the Pacific Northwest ever since. I have a little brother that is six years younger than me. However, when I was seven years old, he passed away in his sleep for an unknown cause. I have been raised in a family of just me and my parents. I have been raised to always follow your heart. My parents taught me to never give up and to always do your personal best.

My mom does a lot of crafts. Her favorite craft to do is tole painting, which is where you cut pieces of wood out and paint them. She also does a lot of sowing and scrapbooking. My grandmother from my dad’s side of the family was a painter. When she passed away, we got a lot of her paintings and have them all around the house. I used to always think it would be cool if I took the pictures photographically and she painted them. I actually used to want to be a painter with her, but got frustrated with how much talent and work it is to draw and paint.

I don’t have much of a photography background. I took photography1 freshmen year and really enjoyed it. I decided I wanted to continue to grow as a photographer and signed up for photography2 as a sophomore. I always wanted to take lessons outside of school. I thought it would be an advantage to me and my work to get a different point of view and tips. However, I don’t have the time, money, or transportation.
