La photo a été ma première source d’inspiration pour composer des images, mais rapidement j’ai compris que j’avais envie de peindre puisque j’ai commencé mon trajet artistique en peignant en couleur des tirages de photos noir et blanc.

J’ai aussi compris immédiatement que ce ne serait que vers l’aquarelle que je me tournerai.

C’est un médium tellement dangereux et fascinant par les surprises qu’il crée sur le papier qu’on ne peut qu’être effrayé ou immédiatement séduit.

Je ne peins pas, je dis que je raconte une histoire, que chaque aquarelle est une aventure de l’eau et des pigments sur le papier.

C’est un voyage envoûtant au fil de l’eau et des couleurs.

De la technique et de la maîtrise mais aussi de l’imprévu et des surprises au détour du pinceau : c’est l’aquarelle !

Photography was in fact my first source of inspiration to create pictures but I quickly realized that I wanted to paint as I started out on my artistic journey by painting using colours from black and white prints.

I also understood that I was only interested in watercolour painting.

It is such a dangerous and fascinating medium because of the surprise created - one is either startled or completely captivated.

I don't really paint ; I like to think that I’m a story teller and that every watercolour is an undertaking using water and pigments on paper.

It's a magical journey using water and colours.

You can think of it as technique and mastery but it's also an adventure into the unknown with unexpected surprises .... at the end of the paintbrush : that's watercolours for you !
