Thanks for your interest.
I came to Lampworking by chance a few years ago although from an art background with a degree in fine art. Working with glass is quite a passion of mine without lighting up the torch each day I have withdrawal symptoms! I love the challenge of working with glass, exploring its boundaries and its alchemy.
I am mostly self taught and learning has been aquired through a couple of well qualified tutors like Diana East and Julie Ann Denton as well as much reading on the internet and magazines and inspiration from many glass heroes that I can only aspire to.
My passion though is to experiment, currently off mandrel sculptural techniques and sometimes with borosilicate, not always with conventional techniques that I may have read but more likely an amalgamation of read information and self interpretation with the joy of occasional 'eureka' moments and breakthroughs .
I'm ever thankful to the wonderful people that buy my work and jewellery without whom I would never be able to journey on this road of glass discovery.
