I grew up in a large family (eight children) and other then illness and school (which I hated) had a great childhood. I have many very fond memories of my early life.
I have been very happily married for 38 years to Kathy, and have three wonderful children, Jessica, Adam and Sarah. And now have two grandsons living in Portland.
I am a Photographer at heart, but support myself by being an attorney, specializing in Bankruptcy law. I started taking photographs at the age of 10, when my mother gave me her old Kodak Brownie box camera. I taught myself to develop film and prints at the age of 11 learning from books from the library. I was a graphic arts cameraman for the Los Angeles Daily News for six years and started to work in digital photography when computers still ran in DOS.
One of my fascinations with photography is to see how far to the abstract I can take a picture and still have it recognizable. Photoshop is one of the greatest tools ever invented.
I grew up in Los Angeles (Van Nuys) but moved to Placerville, California in 1979.
With a wife that I am still in love with, three great children and a job that I like and find rewarding and challenging, I am one of the luckiest men alive.
