I started serious Photography in 1979 I joined The Royal Photographic Society and I submitted a Panel of 12x16 inch prints and gained a Licenciateship ( L.R.P.S )
Some of my early photos are from prints I made from roll film which I developed and printed my self in the early 80's The others are taken on an obsolete digital camera . And some of my images are of 'paintings' done on my computer. using a stylus
27/08/09 I've just bought a Canon 1000D and I am going have to learn all over again . Most of my postings up to now are pre 1985. Its like learning to walk again with digital.

I bought my first camera in 1954. A Zeiss Ikon nettar 120 roll film camera 6x6 image. But at that time I only used it for casual photography.
In 1978 I developed an interest in more serious work. I read about processing and using my old Zeiss took a few rolls of film and developed them and printed some 8x10 prints. I then invested in a Mamiya C330 twin lens reflex camera 6x6 medium format and a 250mm lens. My first processing was all monochrome. But I then ventured into colour developing and printing. And found it surprisingly easy. Printing out 12x16 prints.
I became a member of Liverpool Amateur Photographic Association. And entered their print competitions which did reasonably well. I later joined the Royal Photographic Society and submitted a panel of 10 12x16 prints for a Licenceship ( LRPS ) and was successful.
I added a Canon AE1 35 mm SLR to my equipment plus a 100-300 Telephoto and a Sigma 16mm wide angle.
I had a wide choice of subjects. But I later went to a BMX race meeting and started taking photos. I then got involved with the Freestyle side of it and also became involved in the running of a club and started going to the competitions all over the country. But as I became more involved my time for processing became restricted and I eventually ceased taking photo’s . that was around 1990
I developed a renewed interest in July 2009 after visiting Flickr and posting some of my old images.
I decided to invest in a Canon EOS 1000D. A Tamron 75-300mm, and a Sigma 10-20mm. And that brings me to the present day.
